Two years ago, during an internship with 4 H.I.M. Ministries, God blessed me with a gift of video editing. Now I say blessed as I had previous software experience, but nothing to prepare me to edit and produce videos. Yet two years later videos are the core of Fisherofmen. It is only by His glory that all this has come about.
Video editing at it's core is not difficult. You download video, place it into software, cut, chop, add a few fades and some music. The difficulty comes with having the patience to sit and let God tell you what to do. The humility to hear others critique your work. Most importantly, a passion to see something make a difference.
Now I am not saying that I am better than others because I can hear from God. Instead I seek Him out. Wanting to give this talent over to His glory. In this way, I have never been let down nor have I let someone down. Every video is approached from this angle.
Our videos are made with the intent of bringing great emotion to those who watch them.
There are basically two types of videos.
Type 1: Wedding
Our wedding videos are different from most production companies. We realize that most of the people who will be seeing the video were at the wedding. So for them to sit through a 20 minute video of the entire service would be redundant.
Instead we take interviews from different parties of interest. Mix those in with the footage of the wedding and reception. Set all of this to music and provide a final product that everyone will enjoy. (Most videos will have a duration of 7-10 minutes.)
We shoot all weddings wit a two camera setup. One un-manned camera, with shotgun microphone, mounted in a still position towards the rear of your venu. The second camera being manned and manuvering around to capture both the bride and groom's faces and isle shots. We can't guarantee CD quality audio, as that depends a lot upon the venu and noise levesl. But with our shotgun microphone a signifigant amount of background noise is reduced so interviews are more audible.
Type 2: Motivational
It seems that more and more organizations are trying to motivate people into making a difference. This is a generation of making a difference in the world. Now this is not the easiest goal to accomplish, but with the help of video presentations stories become more alive and real.
In the majority of cases we will take YOUR footage, edit it, apply music, and help you to convey your message or goal. (This is not to say that we can't bring our cameras out or go on-site and shoot footage for or with you. We have hundreds of hours of field experience in second and third world enviroments as well as personal interview experience.)
This type is very popular for ministries trying to raise money, missionaries to show the world the stories of the impoverished, or churches who can't afford a full-time editing staff.

As with anything there is a cost associated with the services. We completely understand the need for budgets. In that understanding we try to price ourselves to offer the best solution at the most reasonable cost.
Weddings: We offer a flat rate of $500 for a wedding. This will include the two cameras, as described previously, 5 finished DVD's/labeled, and one copy of the entire ceramony. (Additional copies may be purchased for $7.50 a DVD.)
Motivational: This is a little more complex as time spent on a project starts to come into play, because of uncertainty. So instead of quoting a flat rate, let us bid the project in a formal proposal.
BUT, so as not to leave you just hanging as to what that means. Our typical hourly rate is $40. This would be for editing, shooting, or consulting. (This is just a TYPICAL rate and does not reflect how we would bid a project.)
